Exclamation Solved: Problems Saving Files
Any files that I try to save, on any program, I get the error, "The file name is not valid", or "There is no more files".

My hard drive is not nearly full at all, and I am not using any special characters, for example, I can't save a paint image as "lol".

The only way that I can save it, is overwriting a copy of the file type in which I am trying to save.

I have already ran a virus scan. Also, a corrupt file scan in command promt.

(Windows 7 Home Premium)

I don't think you're getting an error that says "There is no more files." Windows may display some cryptic error messages, but they're usually grammatically correct. File names can't contain quotation marks, so that's a problem. You'll also need to be a bit more specific than "a corrupt file scan in command prompt".

The exact error:
--------------------------
lol
The file name is not valid.
--------------------------

And the corrupt file scan was from this forum that said on command prompt, you type in something like SDM /scannow (I can't remember completely)

You can't save any file to your hard drive? Not from Notepad? Wordpad? Word, Excel, IE, etc.? Or is it one file from paint? What if you give it another name? Where are you trying to save it? What folder?

Do you mean you ran the command SFC /scannow? What specifically happened? Did you get an error? What is the exact error?

Are there any other problems with the system?

Yes, any program, I can't save. I've tried everything from paint to sony vegas.

And yes I meant that SFC /scannow. It said there were no problems.

I called asus, and they said to do a system restore to a earlier date, which is what i'm about to do.
