Thanks for all your help guys. The problem seems to have fixed itself somehow. I downloaded Opera from Chrome and tried to download the files using Opera. This time, for no apparent reason at all, the downloads worked. I have no idea why Opera would work when Chrome, FF, and IE failed me. I didn't install any drivers. So maybe the computer liked Opera better? :/ Anyway, thanks a bunch for all your help. For now, I'm just going to thank my lucky stars, as that seems to work now. Cheers!

That's really wild! I'm sure the Opera fans will want to suggest that proves its superiority , but no browser is that much better. Anyhow, glad you found something that works.
