Do you mean Windows Live Mail? Try uninstalling and then re-installing. Maybe there was just a glitch with the install. Or, better, download it again and install.

Did you set up the email accounts so that Live mail does work?

The dll should also be in the system32 folder. Have you checked there?
Also, you say you added it to the startup. ?? Was this manually?
Nothing needs to be added anywhere after installation, it is all automatic. If you are using Live mail without problems, remove the startup entry and try again.

Have you tried the following
Quote:
Open Windows Live Mail. Click on Tools, then - Options. In General check the box 'Automatically log on to Windows Live Messenger'. In the Messenger do the same - Tools - Options from General. Check both boxes in Sign In. In Alerts and Sounds check the first 3 boxes in Alerts.
It's very convenient. When you get a new e-mail in the taskbar, by the clock you'll receive an alert that you have new e-mail.
Now when you start Windows the Messenger window pops up and there you just click on your Hotmail.

I would NOT want any email program to load at start up, I am just searching and finding ways to help you.
Maybe that Messenger is required to be running to do this "Auto login" at start up.

Have you looked at my post?
If you have the item in the startup tab, msconfig, or in the start menu, under "All programs - startup", it is not needed in either, hence the message.
