Plaining to upgrade to windows 7...but has questions.
Hey everyone... I've been running Windows XP on my PC as the default OS for awhile. but I installed it.. dual booting it with my XP OS and every time I set the screen resolution to 1280 x 1024 which is my default screen resolution RIGHT NOW. but my screen looks stretched (or whatever you may call it) I hate it when it's too big. is there a way to make the screen resolution look normal and not stretchy?
another here's my monitor info'

it's also a ATI Technologies Inc Rage 128 Pro Ultra TF type monitor.
the name is a CyberVision C70 (yes it's an old monitor but I haven't got my hands on a new one as of yet.)

it would be nice if someone could help me out here.
if i have to reintall windows 7 or whatever just to get a right screen resolution I will.

thanks to whoever can help me.

According to this site, your maximum resolution is 1111 x 833.

http://www.monitorworld.com/Monitors...ision/c70.html

So set your resolution to something under those numbers.

It doesn't have much to choose from it's either small (which looks stretchy ) and bigger which is something i don't want... any ways of editing some kind of resolution file..or get it to display correctly...? in windows 7 when I set it to 1280 x 1024 or something like that... it looks stretchy.
if you or anyone else have any ideas please tell me so I can upgrade!

Hi Yuji,

There are different things you can try in order to get the best display out of your monitor. Spend some time reading through this resource and see if it helps - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...n-your-monitor

If your monitor is old, it may not be fully compatible with Windows 7.

Cheers,
Cassandra
