cannot find any. Xentient Labels was on XP platform. I use MAC, but at work Windows 7 and the color coding feature would be super helpful managing files.

I don't know of a way to color code file folders in a directory, unfortunately. Have you checked for general library maintenance and best practices? I'd be happy to look around and see if I can find some useful resources for ya.

This is an interesting idea though. I'll be sure to pass it along to the rest of the Windows team.

On MAC this existed many years, simple R click on file or folder and:



it's extremely useful to flag files in a folder and obviously handy visual navigation.
I searched for this a lot, as above, a utility exists for XP. none for W7 - anyway, this should be a standard Windows feature.

You might also consider starting and digging into the robust library tools:

There are some great hierarchy systems that can be put into place, which help reveal and sort information. Then you can always use search to find files.
