All seems wonderful at the moment. I re-installed my Xerox printer from an online, latest drivers source via Xerox, and it now runs normal. I duplicated the command which crashed me yesterday, and all seemed to work well. So, as you say, "never mind understanding."

Thank you both for the registry "solution." I'll give that a try.

All your help appreciated!
