Computer Dummy.. Please Help
I am a computer dummy so please bare with me. I am running XP and a couple of months ago we got another computer also runs xp and we purchased a router so they could both access the internet. After installing the router my orginal computer would no longer allow me to access secure pages nor can i get on msn messenger or the email, i can how ever acess yahoo email and messenger. The other computer works fine. I dont know what other info you would need to be able to help me but i am going nuts. so any ideas as to how to get my computer back to how it was before the router was installed would be appreciated

If the computer having the problems is running Norton Internet Security, take a look at the Symantec page, Cannot access or log on to secure Web sites with NIS or NPF .

You could also try:
1. Go to your Internet Explorer>Tools>Internet Options and delete the temporary files and cookies
2. Click on "Security" tab.
3. Then in the box that says Select a Web content zone to
specify security settings, click Internet Zone.
4. Click on "Default Level" tab.
5. Drag the Security slider to "Medium-Low" level.
6. Click on "Apply" and "OK".
