Remove games GPO
Hi All, Is there a Group Policy in Windows that will disable the Windows games in Windows XP & 2kpro. I don't want to uninstall them. The company that I work for is putting their foot down internet use and game play. Any help would be appericaited.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm going to check it out. I found this one that worked. I still having trouble with inhertinace though. I want to add this GPO to a parent OU and disable it in the child OU. Any thoughts or advice would be appericiated. Thanks again.

If you just want the Windows Games blocked why not just uninstall them from Add/Remove Windows Components.

We also used a piece of software called Rogue Process Management. There may be something similar for a Pure Windows Environment but I think it was a plugin for ZenWorks on Netware.

You could also use Trust No Exe which is similar to the Group Policies you could push down. It can be remotely configured on all the pc's.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to check those out. I figured out how workout the Parent OU / Child OU. In the parent OU, check No over ride on all of the GPOs except the one that you want to work in the child OU. Then in the Child OU, click on block parent inhertiance. All of the GPOs will be forced except the one you want to work. Very, Very confusing, but it worked. Thanks again to Tech guys.org for coming thru again.
