Unhappy Cannot Copy or Paste (no error msg)
cannot copy or paste files (text only) and some progs are starting with error msgs.
i was thinking that it might have been spyware or an infection of some kind because when i start spyware doctor i get this error log

Hi,

Check the following to ensure that copy / paste is enabled:

Control Panel > Select Internet Options > click on the Security tab. Then click on Custom Setting, scroll down to find the option "Drag and copy or paste" and ensure that it is enabled.

there isnt any error msg i get a automatic system shutdown with a count down of 1 min, if i try to uninstall an application i get "windows installer service cannot be accessed"

yes i am reinstalling windows but i cant move files from one hard drive to the next e.g c:/ to d:/ maybe a repair would fix this problem, i dont really want to do anything that might stop the computer working all together becuase i dont know how serious this problem is

Try a system restore. ( data fils will be ok )

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.

Select a date just prior to your problem - not the oldest.

Already tried i got the system shutdown up now it says its becuase the (RPC) remote procedure call service terminated unexpectadly.

It does sound as if you have your fair share of probles!

Have you tried Last Known Good Configuration? ( hit f8 on bootup )

if that fails:

Run a File check - Start > Run ....sfc /scannow ( space after sfc )

woo hooo much appreciated worked a treat
another problem i have :P my hardware is shaddowed when it shows up on the post screen and i have never seen this before, what is it and why has it changed
any ideas ?
