If Memtest Reports One Faulty Run Memtest on That Stick in a different slot.. might be due to a faulty slot

I hate to bump this, but I don't know how to do this, or how to check for a leaking capacitor.

Would it be a okay to assume that since I just had it returned from my RMA that it doesn't have leaking capacitors, or best to be on the safe side and take it in?

And no, no new minidumps. Which, in a way is good, but in a way is bad because I know it'll blue screen again, just don't know when.

Nothing to add. It's been awhile without a problem. I don't know if I'm ready to say ZoneAlarm was the problem, if only because I had those three blue screens after uninstall. Maybe it was though, I don't know.

Here's a new one, not a blue screen but maybe related. On booting this morning, I got three really quick post beeps in a row. My monitor turned on and off the same number of times and then it booted. I checked the cables and everything is plugged in fine.

As much as I hate thread necromancy, I have to bump this. I'm still getting BSODs, and they seem to only come after graphics card use. I haven't had a chance to play video games except intermittently for several months because I'm a grad student, but I played a lot yesterday. This morning I've had five blue screens so far, and had another as I was starting to type this so now I've given up and I'm typing from my laptop.

I don't get it. I'm getting memory errors, I had an atapi.sys error a few days ago which I believe is related to my hard drives, but my cables are all fine. Hardware diagnostics are fine. Memtests are fine. I've uninstalled ZoneAlarm (per previous advice) and I'm using AVG Internet Security on both my laptop and desktop and have had no problems with my laptop.

Here's my minidumps for the past few days, but I didn't get the last two as I can't get into my system long enough to add them.

http://www.elricm.com/Monica/Downloads/Minidump.zip

I read something somewhere about random blue screens with the 8800 GTX, but I can't find much information and I don't know if that's my problem. I'm leaning toward that, or that I just have an incompatible motherboard and need a new brand.

And I should mention that I'm not getting the system beeps anymore on a cold boot.

Thanks, devil_himself. Long time, no see.

Drivers are updated, but can you tell me how to run the system file checker? I tried starting it using start->run->sfc.exe, but I just got a really quick pop-up of a command window and then it went away.

edit: Nevermind. Reading stuff makes you smart. Now it's asking me for an XP Pro CD, so I have to change the media description.

edit2: I tried changing the media descriptors per this article. Problem is that I have the OEM version of XP Home so I'm not sure what to change the descriptor to. It doesn't seem to like just XP Home Edition, and keeps prompting me to insert the CD. I can hit Retry until it's about 1/4 through the scan, but then it closes.
