Yen Symbol Coming Up Instead of Slashes
I recently was experimenting typing in Japanese on my computer, in the process I accidentally set (in regional options) my settings to Japanese format for date/time etc. I changed it back to english (usa) and that works fine except for the occasional yen symbol where a slash should be.
Shared Documents>Properties>Location: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users

How do I change this?

edit: when i copy and paste the location into this field, while i'm typing the slashes are yen symbols, when i submit it they change to slashes, but at least you understand where they yen symbols are C:[Yen]Documents...etc

So you have the inverse of "what you see is what you get" WYSIWG.

Is your keyboard set to international, or english or japanese?
http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/i...s/codealt.html

start > settings > control panel
OR
start > control panel
If, in the upper left you see, switch to classic view, please click on it.
Go to the regional & language applet.
Language tab
"Details" button
Settings "tab".

Or, try this

Do you have Japanese fonts installed? If so, uninstall them.

why would it be a font issue? i set windows to display american formats for time/date/etc. so it's displaying in whatever standard font it usually uses, it just happens to be displaying one character in place of another in certain contexts

ne0g:
Because symbols, such as the "yen" symbol and the slashes are in fonts.

I am doing the best I can.

I have nothing else to offer.

Best of success.

Please see #8 of this thread.

Are you typing your posts on the computer with the problem?

In #13 the Yen symbol is not displayed.
