Question On Startup Error Message
Start from the beginning. I installed a Disney screen saver but it wasn't compatible with XP so I un-installed it and now each time I start up my computer, I get an error message that says can't find afterdrk.exe in the registry. Then it tells me to go to the Registry to remove it. How do I do that? Thanks, george

Did you uninstall it with the 'Add-Remove Programs' applet in 'Control Panel'?

maybe a system restore
When did you download the screen saver?

If recently , then why not try a system restore

Go to start/ run type in msconfig, then click on launch system restore
choose a date before you installed the the screen saver

Joan: Thanks, I thought of that, but I had intalled it about 3 months ago. Can't exactly remember the date but if I did that wouldn't it effect other software or hardware that I have installed since then?

Is there a possiblity to go into the registry and remove the reference to the aftrdrk file?

Thanks, George
