Urgent: unable to launch system restore
Help!

I downloaded some trial software. When I attempted to uninstalled the software, somehow it disabled my system restore and search features. I also received a message that not all of the files were removed and to remove manually. Unfortunately, I am unable to locate these files.

I tried to use the instructions from a Microsoft page to enable system restore from safe mode, but that did not work. Can someone help me restore system restore?

I have windows XP

SYSTEM RESTORE DOES NOT WORK
your system restore must be disabled

check your group policy editor

run command gpedit.msc > computer configuration >admin templates >system > system restore ..if its disabled ..then enable it

also check if your system restore service is enabled

run command>services.msc
