No you remove the sp3 from windows update thru add/remove programs and then install the full version after the download.

I just used WU and mine worked fine so far. For those who were having trouble, try again. It took about 20 mins with dsl.

i wouldn't install it. i installed it on a fresh install of xp pro & after reboot windows update doesn't work any longer; have to go to microsoft's website to manually download any pertinent updates now. emailed M$ & of course they haven't replied. i'm leary of uninstalling it as well cuz of all the probs/issues i've read on google & on M$. what a pain!

1) I removed service pack 3 and my address task bar option was restored.

2) I reinstalled service pack 3 and my tak bar > tool bars > address was removed again.

3) Microsoft always missing the most obvious of glitches.

I read the release notes and nothing directly was mentioned of this. However there are notes about possible errors with internet explorer. My IE is working fine, but this 'might' be related to the same errors.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936929

I thought about uninstalling Internet Explorer 7, then installing Service Pack 3, then reinstalling Internet Explorer 7. Do you think that would work?

Can anybody asist?
