Thanks for the tip. I hadn't realized my ram ran on non-standard voltage. I checked my bios and it was default set at 1.9 I checked the corsair site and like you said, it needed 2.1 I changed the volts in bios and it booted up in XP Pro sp0 with no errors. Will try installing XP home sp2 this evening.

Okay, sorry for delay, but I'm back now. I upped the ram volts to 2.1 and voila, the good version of XP sp2 is now installed. Many Thanks to CRJDriver, and all others that responded to my calls for assistance. I'll be marking this as solved, and starting up a new thread on overclocking problems... woo hoo!!! Once again, thanks to all for the assistance!

Well, I want to start up a thread on OC'ing problems, but I'm not finding any previous ones when searching the forums. Is this a tabu topic here?
