Partmgr.sys file or missing Please help
Okay so awhile back, i had an "unknown harderror" with my computer. Turned out "systems32/drivers/pci_sys" something to that extent was missing. I fixed it though by running CHKDSK from the recovery console ran from the operating disk.

Now, for some reason, two weeks later, i'm having another error only now its partmgr.sys that is missing/corrupt. I cannot start safemode, i cannot start last known good config, and i cannot run recovery console from disk. It simple says every command or parameter is invalid. Back in my first problem i could at least run the recovery console. Now it cannot even do that. And while the disk is starting up the recovery console i can hear an audible "click" repeating from inside the computer. Something I've NEVER heard my computer do before.

Now, i really don't wanna reformat my computer. But if it comes to it i'll do it. Now is there anyone i can fix this problem or am i SOL?
