[SVTCobraLTD]

Most of the time my computer is running above 50% CPU usage. When I load something up, including a web page, it goes to 100% and stays there for about 10 seconds. Often when I click CTRL ALT DEL it says svchost is using most of it but usually its just the program I have open. Never had this problem before the past week or so. Everything is running so much slower. Below is a copy of HiJackThis incase its useful. Thanks in advance.

Could be a Mcafee issue; several posts in the last week with people with similar symptoms all running Mcafee.

Had the same problem, it was corrupted USB port drivers.
shut down machine, disconnect all usb periferials, and turn on PC.
If that fixes it, then, plug in one USB device at a time until the problem re-appears. that will be your problem. My issue was on a HP laptop with HP inkjet printers.

Runs much better with McAfee disabled. The computer has 1GB of ram. I am thinking of going and getting two 1GB memory sticks. Anyone have thoughts on this? I would think adding another GB would help the computer run better.
