Server 2003 cannot see my slave drive

I recently plopped in a second IDE hard drive into my dual boot system. On one side my XP pro install sees the drive and it is sharing it across my network. However, Windows Server2003 which resides on another partition on the master drive does not see the drive in 'My Computer'
I can see it under disk management but cannot do anything with it. Is there something I need to do to get MS Server2k3 to use slave drives?
