Greetings, I have a second hard drive (empty) and would like to free up space on my primary drive, but I don't know how to move the entire file to the second drive. Example, "my pictures" lots and lots of pics that I would like to move to drive e from drive c. Can this be done? Or does it have to be done pic by pic? Any help for this beginner would be appreciated.

Are you sure that your E: drive is actually another hard disk and not a partition on the same drive as your C: drive?

Of course you could copy files from your C: drive to your E: drive as long as E: is formatted with a file system such as NTFS. Make sure E: is large enough to contain all the files you want moved. Then just select all the files, choose copy, go to the E: drive, and click paste. After you are sure that the files have been properly copied, you can go back to the original files on the C: drive and delete them to free up the space you want.
