Thumbs down XP System Reboots from bugcheck every 12 hours
Ok I have a several XP Pro SP2 systems which are rebooting from a bucheck every 12 hours or so...

System specs..

XP Pro SP2
Pentium 4 3ghz CPU
1gb of ram

Nothing has changed since the machine has been deployed...

I have tried to disable non-needed applications, etc from startup

Reapplied current service packs..

I've attached several dump files as well

Any ideas?

All the crashes are blamed on sparkey.sys, which looks to be a Spark Usb Key driver. See if you can update it.

The process is also the same in all the crashes, and I couldn't find any info on HDVAR+.exe. Do yo know what it is?

I also couldn't find any info on tmman800xX.sys. It's not implicated in the crashes though.

The HDVAR process is a H.264 video/audio encoding package we use...

These systems were on a KVM but recently the KVM was replaced with a stand alone keyboard ( USB ) and mouse. the KVM was removed because we considered that it might be responsible for the regular system reboots.

I'll check out the USB drivers though and see if that resolves the issue.

Thanks!

I'm looking at the dump files myself and in the second dump file Mini050708-02.dmp
I see that an exception address of: 0xf7b000e4

while sparkey.sys is at: 0xf7aff000
and
hidusb.sys loaded at 0xf7b07000

How are you determing that sparkey.sys is to blame?

Ok I talked to some of the folks here at the office, and apparently these systems Have a HW USB dongle for the HDVAR application....

Any idea where I can get an updated driver from ?
