Hi; recently i had to use the windows install's repair option on a XP system because the boot process said there was a file missing or corrupt. everything seems fine, because the computer works after that, but now i have a weird error that affects some programs that uses path files like "\\mycomputer\sharedfolder" i have some shared folders on that computer, i can access them from any other computer on the network, but if i try to open them from the list of computers on my workgroup ( double click on my own pc and double click on my share), i got and error that says "you dont have permissions to access the share" i checked permisions on the folder, i checked permisions on the user... evething seems fine, and remember im trying to access my own share!!! if i type the route on windows explorer "\\mycomputer\sharedfolder" i got the same error... Any ideas?

Try turning off sharing on that file, then turning it back on.
If that still gives you issues, try assigning a dir letter to the file instead of a name

Example: with my shared C:/ i use \\myComputer\C$

Also, do you have password protection on your network folders..? Like do you have to log in..?
