Please read this and help
need to get an ip address from a MySpace message! My daughter has been missing for over a year, she recently sent a message through myspace. If there is ANY possible way to get an IP address from this I need to know how. This is not something that I have very much time to play with. I also have a thread in the web and e-mail forum, but this one had the most viewers. sorry if that is not kosher.

Hi,

I understand your eagerness to find out where your daughter is, but, at this point why not simply strike up a conversation via the MySpace messages and renew the acquaintance with your missing daughter, if this is her, then overtime she may feel she can open up and tell you where she is, then you can both goon from there.

Without going too far into it, that is not a possibility. I apologise for not discussing it further, but trust me, I have spent hours and hours thinking of every possibility. I know that an IP address would get me at least a town, and that would be a great starting point. Do you know if there is a way to get an IP address from these messages?

Please, if anyone has concerns about the legitimacy of this, then check it out on the website for the national center for missing and exploited children. My daughter's name is Andrea Renee Cantu. http://www.missingkids.com/missingki...eSearchServlet
I just need help tracking a myspace message to her location.
Thanks

While we do sympathize with your situation and indeed hope for a speedy and safe return of your daughter, you need to contact the proper authorities to get that type of information. If you aren't getting satisfaction there perhaps a private investigator would be another avenue to explore. However, this is not the type of technical assistance we provide here.

I'm closing this thread and wish you all the best.
