Download, and install Unlocker: http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/
It'll install under right click menu.

Right click on "." folder. Click Unlocker
Select Delete from drop-down menu:

Click OK.
"." will refuse to be deleted, but Unlocker will give you an option to delete on reboot:

Click Yes.
Restart computer.

OK, maybe the code is prevented from being able to be run when the workFolderBase variable is pointing to a folder on the same computer.
In my case, that variable is pointing to a network drive, so the actual folder I am creating is on another computer in my workroom.

What OS is the network drive running on? What FS?

Avistor- it is NTFS and I would guess that it is also Windows XP.

Broni - I am too scared to use that Unlocker tool, plus I don't think it would solve the problem as the folder is on a network drive.

The worst, Unlocker can do is to not be able to delete.

Send a screenshot of the properties of that folder. Each tab, please.

So you're working on a domain. That might be Windows Server. However, I suppose you could copy all the files and delete the lower directory and then recreate it.

Maybe you could copy for safe keeping all the good stuff in the containing folder, and then delete the containing folder.

EDIT: Whoops; sorry; I didn't notice Avisitor's post.

you could try deleting the folder my first pressing ctl+alt+del and ending the process explorer.exe then click on file new task, and type in "cmd" (without quotes). then by using the "cd" command navigate to the place of the folder (eg if folder is on desktop the command would be "cd c:\documents and settings\guest\desktop" enter)

once you have navigated to the place use the DEL command to delete the folder (eg if I wanted to delete a folder called TEST the command would be "DEL test" enter)
