Solved: error message with shortcuts
I'm getting this error message when clicking on my shortcuts on my desktop.

I get this same "win32 error" with all my shortcuts on the desktop.
A little history...
I did do SP3
Removed Opera
IE 7

Any help appreciated.

jparr111, Try the "URL File Association Fix" and the "LNK (Shortcut) File Association Fix" at the link below.

Ok...
I removed SP3. No change.
Something else. My shortcuts work from Favorites but don't when I "send to...create desktop short cut" and click from there. ????????

jparr111, Right click your Desktop, choose Properties, under the Desktop tab click the Customize Desktop button, under the Web tab make sure that everything is unchecked, click OK/Apply/OK.

jparr111, Thanks for that image and that's OK the way it is. Go to IE Tools>Internet Options>Programs tab and click on the "Reset Web Settings" button, click Apply/OK

Thank you very much for guiding me in the right direction.

I had removed OPERA and didn't know I had to make IE default after that.
Again, Thanks. (happy dance)
How quick I forgot the basic things.
