screen instability
Screen dies...then comes back with error: "want to send report to MS / end messg"

not happening now; it's intermittent

have half disc space avail; plenty of RAM; have not reconfigured anything

started after I downloaded some anti-virus programs... used them, removed virus and other small stuff, used a registry scanner, removed, then removed antivirus programs

how often "intermittent"?, while booting/useing?
Sounds like software!

Is there anything in "event viewer"?

how often "intermittent"?
*** cant tell yet... less than 1 day of activity

while booting/useing?
***using, and re-booting doesn't cure it

Sounds like software!
***you mean software is causing a conflict?

What does the error mssg say?
***I'll copy next time it happens.. something about explorer.exe (which I can not now find on system - I use firefox, but had to download explorer+google toolbar pack to get a certain free copy of spyware doctor bundled with it all, to remove a virus only SD removes, apparently

Is there anything in "event viewer"?
*** didn't look...
