Unhappy Computer randomly shutting off
since i'm not good with introductions i'll just say hi

but anyways, lately my computer has been randomly shutting down. Not while im doing anything specific, it happends at completely random times. I openned up my tower to see if it was dusty or something, sure as hell it was dusty but i cleaned it out ( blew in it ) and i felt the motherboard, it was pretty hot so i turned my computer off for a few hours but the same thing happends. the same thing happened to my friend but his problem was a fan wasnt working, but all of mine are working, please help?

i'm using a windows xp home edition, if u need anymore info, lemme know
(ignore spelling/grammar errors i had to type this fast before my computer shut off again)

Download, and install SpeedFan: http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php
Post your computer temperatures, and your processor info.

system: 27C
CPU: 46C
AUX: 18C
HD0: 40C
Core 0: 51C
Core 1: 51C
Core: 60C
ambient: 0C

Found Maxtor 6Y080L0 (82.0gb)
Found Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU E1200 @ 1.60GHz
End of detection

Notes: there are little icons beside the temp info. some are blue arrows pointing down, some and green checkmarks, and on cores 0 1 and blank there and fire icons, on CPU it switches between green and fire icon alot, does that mean its over heating? o.O

Your processor max temp is listed as 73.3C, but if your 46C is for idle computer, it's too warm in my opinion.

Let's try this...
Open computer case, get regular house fan, turn it on, and point it toward computer case.
Will it lower temps, prevent shutdowns?

cores 0 and 1 decreased alot by around 10-15, the blank core how ever stays between 57-60, it hasent shut off yet, so i guess that was the problem?

It looks like it. 10-15C decrease is a lot, plus, not shut downs.
Now...
I'm very far from being hardware expert, so you may start a new topic at hardware forum, how to solve your problem.
It may be matter of applying some new thermal paste, but you better ask there.
DO NOT FORGET to supply a link to this thread, so you don't have to explain everything all over.
