Are many BSOD problems solved by replacing the hardrive? I have reformatted my IBM Thinkpad r40 and installed new memory. I still get
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
0X0000000A

No new hardware was installed before this happened. If it was software related ,wouldn't the reformat have helped? I do not want to put to much money into the laptop as they are not that expensive, but if changing the hard drive has a chance I'm for it. Is a hard drive change a waste of money? Thx..................

Hard drives are rather inexpensive, not a waste of money.

Are you able to boot at all? Possibly in Safe Mode. Could be as simple as a driver problem.

If you can upload any dump files, we can try to debug.
