HP Network Printer will not install
Ok I have been frustraited all day over this so I will let it loose on some better minds than mine at this stage

I have an HP officejet connected to a peer to peer network. (everyother machine acesses this printer and can print to this machine wired and wireless). On my new computer home built ( core2duo processor 3gig ram ati 1050 videocard windows xp service pack 3 fully patched system checked with sucunia). Ok now dow to the real problem when I install the software for the printer the sofware will not detect the printer. however. if i point it to the ip address of the printer it recognizes the printer goes through the install but will not install the printer. now is gets interesting , I can ping the printer and get a response , and if i got to the ip address using intenet explore I can get to the printer admin page with no proplem. If I try installing the printer by creating a tcp/ip port it will error say it cannot install the driver. I tired to install with no fire wall and No av( using avg) same issue. I think I have exausted all the simple stuff on this one any suggestions
