Strange problem with PCTools Threatfire on Win2k3 Standard Trial
I've been messing around with the Windows 2003 Standard trial version, and I have run into a small issue with PCTools Threatfire (which I'm experimenting with as solo virus protection). With Threatfire installed, I get this popup message about fifteen seconds after I log in:

Code:
userinit.exe - Application Error

The instruction "0x1001b559" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".

Click OK to terminate the program
Click CANCEL to debug the program
If I click OK, the popup closes and my computer functions normally. If I click Cancel... My hard drive spins for a few seconds, and then nothing else happens, and again my computer functions normally. So no major impact on usability.

At first I thought the problem might be due to userinit.exe being corrupted or something. However, it disappears immediately when I uninstall Threatfire, so it seems that Threatfire is the problem.

I am wondering, though, if this could indicate some problem with my system that I'm unaware of...

(For the record, I've scanned for malware with MBAM... I've also run HJT, and though I'm not an expert at interpreting HJT logs I'm experienced enough to see that there's nothing untoward; the only things running are things that should be running.)
