win 2003 domain problem
My current situation is this: I have a new AD Domain in place and I am adding users and servers in phases. I have a DNS server set up on a Win 2003 DC. I have PCs that use this DNS server with no problems. These machines can access everything fine whether they are a member of the domain or not. I have a couple of servers that have websites on them that are working properly right now, I’ll use my mail server as an example. It has a webmail site running on it and all is well right now. However, as soon as I join this server to the domain, the website no longer responds.
The DNS server has the appropriate forwarding turned on, my internal domain is different from my external domain name (my external domain is mail.**.com, my internal domain is **.domain)
My firewall is functioning properly since I can access the site when the server isn’t a member of the domain.
It doesn’t matter if I attempt to use the URL or the IP and port number to access the site, I can’t access it once the server is a member of the domain.
If anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Let me get this straight. Once you join your mail server to the domain no one on the network can access it's webmail? Do they join the domain correctly? Do the servers show up in AD correctly and under the correct OU? Are there any group policy settings in place that may be restricting client access to these web sites? Can you ping them by name and IP address correctly? If it is a problem after joining the domain I would say it is something on your DC causing the issue.
