Lots of stuff that currently works great on SP2 might be a total nightmare on Vista. Most likely gonna be awhile till everyone gets there code up to date to work and play nice with Vista. I'm sticking with Windows SP2 for a few more yrs. Since your one of the gennie pigs currently trying out Vista RC1 then simply install Spybot, Adaware and Spywareblaster one at a time and report back here with your results or start reading through all the Vista threads to see if your answer is there.

RC1 seems to be a lot better then beta 2.
I have RC1 on my second hard drive so I won't be messing up my XP.

I mean, like Norton is taking this crap to extremes by complaning to the the EU of being locked out. Well guess what boys, your product is crappy and uses a lot of CPU cycles.

Defender does most of the work. I run with my Router firewall and the windows firewall turned off and have Ad aware installed. In view of the lack of antivirus programs which will run on Vista (I am now using 5744 RC2 - no change) I do not use one at all.
