Installing windows 7 worked. It crashed once but I remembered you said some crash a while back was linked to not having windows updates and was like ooops lemme get all those updates and it hasn't crashed since. Granted I haven't put Norton or itunes back on my computer yet but I think I'm in the clear. Thx again.
