im new to this forum, and it looks like a good community

Anyway, there is a problem with my computer. My battery is not charging. It says '(pluged in, not charging) but why isnt it?

I think its because i tryed to play Bioshock 2 on it. It gave me a warning saying that it may be unstable to play, but i took no notice to this. Im not certain it was this, but im guessing it was because when i exit the game, the battery stop'd charging.

Please help me out.... i will be very grateful

p.s i forgot to say, i did unistall the programm, but it didnt do anything.

Hi there,
I believe the make of the laptop is called something like a 'conpact' ever heard Of it?
And it says the not charging thing when I hover my cursor or the battery icon at the bottom task bar.

Turn the PC off and take the power chord out. Start the PC and see if it starts on battery

Its probably a compaq presario which are made by HP.You might have to replace the battery or you have a bad a/c adapter or an electrical problem of some sort.

my laptiop says plugged in not charging, when it is fully charged & I am using on the mains power
run it on battery for 1 hour or so then plug it in & see what it says
