Unhappy Solved: Can't login with startup repair
My mom has an Acer Aspire 5538G laptop that runs Vista home premium 32 bit, and when I started it today I keep getting bluescreens like 5 secs after I login with any account (haven't installed or downloaded anything lately). And when I launch startup repair and get to the login screen, no accounts are shown, only one without profile pic where you must fill in username and password. I tried all accounts, but none works. (it's the first time I use startup repair)

instead of Startup Repair, you could try system restore. I am assuming, of course, that you have access to system restore. If you can restore to an earlier point in time, that might fix the problem.

re: the above post, I do not think the starter of this thread is asking for ways to bypass the normal security measures in place on the computer, but rather to restore the usability of the computer for his/her or perhaps his/her mom's use. It is with that in mind that I provide my assistance.
