You don't need it.

What are you currently using to protect your computer against viruses, malware, spyware, rogues, hijackers, etc.?

This is probably what Flavallee is getting at, but if you're using Microsoft Security Essentials, it already has its own version of Windows Defender. Therefore, it won't let you start Windows Defender. So, you can just forget about it.
