Marcan, composing music is a hobby I developed about a year ago while I'm having a 'break' from the comic book stuff I also work on. My focus this year has been music and writing. I'm also a little active on AcidPlanet with my collaborator. Mainly techno, electonica, dance, industrial, that kind of thing.

Did you try ...
ok takami826,

Did you try to run as administrator and did Acid Program that you use install on your machine?

PS. Have you tried Ableton LIVE. Great program for everything musical. Mines works perfect on Vista.

iTunes still has some issues with Vista, here's Apple's own response: http://www.computer.org/portal/site/...vVq!-155390832

Windows Media Player 11 is actually pretty good in Vista, and it works even if only til iTunes is fully compatible.

acid pro 6 isn't a media manager like itunes and WMP... I don't like either one anyway. I use media monkey and it works smoother with vista than it did with xp!

I haven't heard of ableton LIVE but now I have to check it out!

I ordered acid pro 6 anyway, it's time for an upgrade, so that's my excuse Plus, I'm sure if it weren't to work right away it will in a week or so when they get their drivers caught up. I think the problem with my ap4 after checking around was a licensing issue since I still have it installed on my old xp laptop.

I use iTunes on Vista now. To use it, however, you need to change the properties to allow the program run as an administrator.

How did you do that? Where can I get the driver? I tried installing the software from the cd and then checking the option to run it in compatibility mode but that didn't work.

My problem is that, while using vista and my psc1210 printer in fast draft mode, the printing comes out skewed (crooked). It happens only in this mode and especially when I print two pages per sheet. I have tried the same printing options in XP (on another computer) and it prints out just right. Help!

well acid pro 6 works flawlessly with vista however the included software, KOMPACT which is by native instruments will not install properly. Instead of messing with it much, I just uninstalled it, tried again, uninstalled it and decided to wait awhile for that. The main program is what I care about anyway, and so far so good. (this is on a toshiba a135-s4407 that came preinstalled with vista, not an upgraded xp machine)

You got it...
Good glad you got APro it to work Takami.

Did you get a chance to check out Ableton Live?

I would be interested in hearing some of your work if it was possible?

Regards
Marcan

Canadian ISP has Yahoo Compatibility Issues
A Canadian ISP, has sent their customers an email saying some of their Yahoo software is not yet working with Vista.

I'm not personally impacted (yet) but thought others might best be warned.
