Scanners, although I don't use them ALL the time. There is the occasional instance where I do need one to make a copy of something. Combined with a LaserJet its cheaper than going to Kinko's. Two scanners, a UMAX Astra 2100c and a Visioneer OneTouch 8100 USB/Parallel; they both don't work in Vista. Therefore I had to grab a new one.

Printer wise, just about anything will work so far, well what I have used. HP LaserJet 1200, DeskJet 3740, DeskJet 5600, DeskJet 3820. They work well.

Also, I have a dinosaur of an All-In-One machine made by Xerox. Its a Xerox WorkCentre 945, its an inkjet printer, scanner and copier. Its old, and of course it doesn't work well with Vista. And don't force the drivers from XP to work in Vista becuase it will just cause your Print Spooler to terminate for no reason.
