Solved: Green Volume Bar on Screen Displaying Volume
Before I upgraded to Vista, there use to be a green bar at the bottom of the screen, so whenever you increased/decreased the volume, you would know.

This has disappeared.

Anyone know where a copy of this "OnScreen Display' Tool can be found?

I'm guessing you have a Logitech keyboard and/or mouse? If so, it was probably the Logitech software that enabled this. In Vista, you should uninstall the Logitech software that is currently installed (xp version) and download the new Vista version from logitech.com

Where on the bottom of the screen?

I think if you did increase/decrease the volume you would know anyways.

It likely would have been provided by an HP Audio driver or mixer utility. If you've downloaded all the HP software then the utility may not yet exist for Vista.

When I spoke with HP they said the utility was called OnScreen Display or something, and said there might now be a download available because at first their were issues with the software. Anyone know if it now works and where it could be found?

OnScreen Display rings a bell, it'd be the one.

I'd just check the HP website to see if and when they post it. Lots of software like this doesn't properly work properly with Vista.

LG has not released driver yet
Apparently, this feature is part of the LG battery miser program that comes from HP. There is an update for windows XP from the HP site but nothing for VISTA. HP support claims there will be an update for VISTA available but I wouldn't hold my breath. The whole industry these days seems totally uninterested in upgrading their old drivers to VISTA. I could not get HP to commit to a date for when the driver would be released.
