avi problems
alright im trying to play an avi file with windows media player on vista.. vista recognizses it as an avi but when it loads up in windows media player it plays it as a audio file, not visuals. I tried using vlc media player, it just gives white and pink screens... am i missing a video codexc or something or whats wrong?

VLC has a known issue with Vista where it doesn't display any picture, see here for tips to possibly get it working: http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?t=32513

You should check what codec you need for the video: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
