Can Office 2003 be installed on Vista? I heard that you can't.
I just want to make sure.

sorry if this has already been answered. Looking for a direct answer.

oh ok...thx. This guy who works at this "place" where I got a notebook from told me that only 2007 can only be installed and not the previous versions.

So much for that guy. Been using Office2003 with Vista since the beta days. Word, Excel, Outlook, Frontpage etc. all work fine. Typically this misinformation is from people wanting to sell you something you don't need.

i also find that, lots of program that working in xp works in vista ... just find the installer and right click on it and click the "run as administrator" section ... vista will ask you that giving permission to this installation or program, just click yes and go on ...

i have tried lots of programs including some special programs for special companies, and all of them works fine ... but it is not an "always working" rule ...

Wink To Increase Compatibility of XP programs with Vista
Nearly all XP programs will run on Vista if you run Program compatibility manager which can be found by searching under the Vista "?" help.

Fortunately you don't need to do that with Office2003.
