Red face vista basic photo save
i've been trying to save photos off the internet that i have in my photobucket as well as other sites but it only gives me the option to save these jpg files as art or gif files which aren't compatable w my photo program. im sure this is such a simple question is there a way to change it so i can save it as a jpg file???

If you are using AOL: This behavior may occur when AOL's graphic compression option is turned on. When this option is on, the images are saved as the .art file type.

I have no experience of AOL, but I believe this is what to do
Settings / Preferences / Internet Properties / Web Graphics
Select “Never Compress Graphics” Option

What photo program are you using that can't handle GIF files? Unless Vista has some new feature I'm not aware of, it's normal for browsers to not save to JPG. They save to BMP or GIF.
