Vlc on Vista
hey,

i installed vlc media player onto my vista premium laptop and when i try to watch a .avi file using it no video is shown, only sound and and blocks of colours, red, green, purple.

i thought this may be due to some codecs i had downloaded so i uninstalled all the codecs i had and the media player its self.
i re downloaded vlc with the same, no video
anyone have any suggestions of what this might be?

thanks
