Unhappy Vista Screen Saver Prevents Use of Energy Options
I am running Vista Home Premium on an HP Media Center PC m7780n.
When the screen saver is activated, the sleep functions for the monitor and PC will not work. When the screen saver is turned off, no problem!
I think there was a similar problem with XP which was eventually fixed with a patch.

Is this a similar situation with Vista, and if so:
1. When will it be fixed?
2. Why was it not dealt with before launch, based on the history with XP?
