Question about Vista and MP3 file
I'm looking into buying a new laptop with Vista and have heard horror stories. Specifically, if I copy a CD onto the computer, Vista doesn't allow that music to be copied i.e IPOD, mp3 player. Is this true?

If the CD has copy protection you probably won't be able to rip it into MP3 format. Other than that, I haven't had any issues ripping to MP3 on Vista.

Are you able to then copy the MP3 file onto an MP3 player or IPOD?

The only way you wouldn't be able to get the song is if it is in a WMV file format.
