HP Total Care Advisor & Windows Vista
I recently purchased a new computer with Windows Vista already installed and it came with HP Total Care Advisor. I get an error when I use the program to search for hardware and software updates: The topic you are looking for is not available in this version of Windows. Therefore the program will not work with Vista. Anyone else having this same problem?

I have a new laptop with the same program, but it doesn't have any issue searching for updates. OTOH, I'm planning on removing it soon.

My HP has the same program and it will notify you it is time to check for updates. You have your choice. It pops up every few weeks it seems. I have had no updates yet.

Thanks, I am thinking about doing the same thing... if it's not going to work, why keep it!

HP Total Care Advisor Malfunction
I've only had my laptop three months, but I have the same problem as you folks.
I've called HP numerous times and they've given me patches but they did not fix the problem. I've asked for a URL to reinstall it, but they say there is none.
Has anyone managed to find a solution?
