Question Solved: Change Time Synchronization Interval
How do I change the time synchronization interval in Windows Vista? Sometimes it's an hour off because of my slow computer.

It doesn't matter what speed the computer runs at, it should keep reasonably correct time. I suspect you have something loaded that has hooked the timer interrupt and is causing the clock to be off.

My suggestion would be to track down the offending software and either update it or lose it.

Okay, I have tons of software that I would have no idea which would be the culprit.

For now, is there a way to change the interval in Windows Vista? It drops back 20 minutes a day.

Works great, had to manually synchronize my clock a couple times before changes could be seen.

Here's my change in the REG file format:
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

; Change or Adjust Internet Time Synchronization Interval in Windows Vista
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient]
; Synchronize every 3600 seconds (1 hour)
"SpecialPollInterval"=dword:00000e10
