Windows Experience Index issue
Hello,

I have a weird issue with the Windows Experience Index, that when I try to re-index, it gets to the part about "Assessing CPU Performance", then the lights on the keyboard disappear, the mouse will stop working and the system freezes. I also don't here the HD spinning. I can open and close the disk drives, and can hear the fan running. I normally have to reboot after

This is a family desktop that I don't use much, because i have a laptop, other family members have said that these symptoms had occurred when i had XP installed to. I thought by installing vista it would stop but it occurs again.

I though maybe it was NIS 2007 conflicting, so i disabled and same thing.

I think out of 5 times running it, it only worked once.

Desktop System:
Dimension 8300
2GB Ram
Nvidia Geforce 7600GT
Vista Home Premium

Just wanted some thoughts on what might be the issue, thank you!
