Please help - ICS between Vista and XP
Please someone help me,

I have Vista Business as the host and an XP professional SP2 as the client. On the XP it
says that it can see the Vista computer, and the network seems to work fine,
however I cannot access the internet through the XP computer.

I've done all the things like enabling ICS on the modem/router connection,
and the only thing that I can see wrong is that when I hit "diagnose" on the
"Local area connection 2" (which is the the connection to the XP computer) it
says that it has an invalid IP configuration....

You have a router? Why are you screwing around with ICS?

Let's see this for Vista and XP with Vista being the host.

Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt:

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.
