Cannot delete shortcut after program removed
I'm helping my mother set up her new vista machine. I started by going to the add/remove programs to get rid of all those stupid programs that are preloaded. Well i removed the ones we no longer wanted, but they didn't remove their shortcuts from the desktop. I went to delete these shortcuts and a window opens saying that the source file no longer exist and it cannot delete the icons. Whats the deal? How do i get rid of these shortcuts?

Try rebooting. The shortcuts may not really be there.
