Well i bought a new mb and finally got vista workin on my pc, the fan on the heatsink you couldnt even hear on my old mb but now it sounds like a hair dryer.

My usb & ps2 mouse & keyboard keep crashing on me now and again tried them each a efw times and it keeps happenin mostly when im in menus.

Its saying i have no sound device plugged in when i actually have and it was working earlier on but now it isnt.

Also the windows experience stuff is confusing me, it says i have a score of 4.3, what do i need to do to get it higher, all the info about it is below:

Could be bad connection or another driver issue, try removing any 'extra' drivers and use the ones with Vista.

Definately, a driver issue so I would look for newer Vista drivers.

The score is equal to the lowest score of the components listed. So, if you increase the amount of memory to 2GB you will get a higher score.

ok i understand that now, is there any reason why i can actually hear the fan spinning with this new motherboard because on my old one i couldnt even hear it spinin it was silent, this one is just like a hairdryer

The Pentium 4 is well known to be a big energy producer unlike the Core Duo's. So it needs more cooling and faster fans .. hence the noise.

well i took the new mb back coz of the fan and i bought the asus P5V-VM SE DH and it is amazin, cant ehar anythin at all. The one before ont eh otherhand abit sb-95 i think it was called is a joke its terrible.

but now i think all is solved
